This game has the best atmosphere I have experienced in a game for years, It's a must buy. GOTY though..... I don't know.....

I love this game. Even though I'm not far in the main story, I just love exploring, buying property and just being an all round nice guy :)
It looks like it's their highest rated game on the entire site with a 9.9
If there is a significant price drop, I will be first to get a PS3, but I'm not holding my breathe for one soon.
Actually they do report on the big news from other companies, they have done reviews for other platforms (if I remember correctly I think MGS4).
Plus these things effect the industry as a whole.

As you said the site is partial and as an Australian I try to support these local gaming sites. I understand the frustration, we seem to get 'Fanboy' stories all to often this Gen, though I actually think there is a demographic (yes, a small minority) who find this information interesting (Im part of that small demographic)
As you explained though, the majority of 'industry terms' picked up by the populous to use as material for attacking the 'opposition' is ridiculous.

Everyone knows most companies are losing money, it's more the fact that some companies are in a better position to weather the storm, some aren't. The gaming industry as a whole seems to fair well in these financial crisis' people tend to withdraw into the comfort of home life, spending what little money they have on consumer electronics for entertainment.
No one wants to see companies (thus the shareholders) lose money on this scale.
Obviously not tested but Its a good way to talk up how 'next gen' Resi 5 is. This will naturally attract some attention.

Unfortunately for Sony their Console is the most expensive (by a considerable margin), the average consumer coming into the holiday buying season will look at the cheaper consoles (if at all).
Actually it is. I'm far from an ATV racing fan (or a fan of the whole racing genre) but I thought this game was fun. It at least deserves a hire.
I'm a little surprised by these review score after seeing the game in action, I know these score aren't bad as such but the game looked amazing.

I wonder if this Xbox site will review LBP like they did with MGS4, they seem to like the big PS3 titles so who knows....
Though I do enjoy the serious nature of GTA that emphasises the developing story, I didn't have fun with it. So maybe Saints Row could fill the void?

Nice review, though sports games aren't my thing, it still looks interesting.
